Parenting is one of the most rewarding (and toughest!) jobs out there. In a world full of unrealistic beauty standards, constant social media pressure and diet culture in disguise, raising body confident kids can feel overwhelming—but you don’t have to do it alone.
We’ve gathered six of the most effective, practical and empowering resources to help you support your child’s body image and overall wellbeing. Whether you’re just getting started or you’ve been navigating tricky conversations for a while, these tools are here to help you feel more confident and capable.
If you want to learn the basics of helping your kid feel good in their body…
You need the Embrace Kids Parent Masterclass.
Want your kids to grow up embracing their bodies and themselves, but not quite sure where to start on what feels like a monumental task? In this free 5-minute video presented by comedian (and dad) Nazeem Hussain, you will learn the basics fast, and without all the fluff. Fun, practical, entertaining and short enough to watch in one visit to the loo, this masterclass will support you to build better body image at home (and it’s highly shareable so super easy to flick across to that auntie who makes one too many comments on people’s appearance). Nazeem shares practical, science-backed ways to help you support your kids with issues such as body shaming, social media, food and more. Watch here.
If you’re worried about your child’s eating or exercise habits…
You need the Nourish, Nurture, Notice program.
Eating concerns can creep in quietly, and as a parent, it can be hard to know when it’s “just a phase” or something more serious. Nourish, Nurture, Notice is a free online prevention program focused on early identification of and intervention for disordered eating in young people. It’s designed for parents and carers of school-aged children and helps you to spot the signs of disordered eating and take action early, before something more serious takes hold.
The program includes
- 30-minute masterclass, featuring expert guidance and real insights from parents with lived experience
- Drop-in sessions where you can connect with professionals and other carers to ask questions and get tailored advice

You need the Flip the Script guide.
This free downloadable guide includes tips and suggestions on how to talk to your child about bodies, food and movement in ways that are positive, supportive and reassuring. It’s designed to be practical and easy to use, so you can navigate these discussions with care and confidence, and ‘flip the script’ on all the harmful messages we’ve been exposed to over the years.
