About the Impact Lab
The work of The Embrace Collective is informed by more than 20 years of body image research and driven by some of the world’s leading experts in this space.
The Embrace Impact Lab is the research arm of the The Embrace Collective. It is a dedicated collaboration of multidisciplinary researchers who work to create a nexus between research, policy and practice to drive impact and improvements in body image, health and wellbeing across the lifespan.
The Embrace Impact Lab at Flinders University provides a powerful opportunity for the rapid translation of evidence into practice, gathering practice-based evidence, as well as feeding industry and end-user needs and innovations back to researchers.
At The Embrace Impact Lab, we:
- Conduct innovative research that can inform programs, policy and practice
- Host world-leading scholars to contribute their knowledge

Classroom Program
School-based pragmatic Randomised Controlled Trial to determine the impact of the the program on student body image and wellbeing.
Impact of the Activate Resources
Determining the impact of this program on the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours of people involved in community sport.
Body Blocks Evaluation
Determining the impact of the body blocks program on early learning educator’s knowledge, confidence and competence in talking about bodies, food, and movement with children aged 0-8 years.
Evaluation of the Embrace Kids Parent Masterclass
Project to determine the efficacy of the parent masterclass in improving parent confidence in body confident home environments.
