Taryn Brumfitt and Dr Zali Yager may come from different backgrounds and lived experiences but they share one common goal – to ensure that no kids are held back by their beliefs about their bodies. Taryn and Zali have dedicated their careers (and lives) to all things body image, and between them they have 30 years’ combined experience, 50 published papers, five books, two films and seven kids. This dynamic duo knows a thing or two about body image – and they’re joining forces to change the world.

The Embrace Collective
A bestselling author and director of the inspiring social-change documentaries Embrace and EMBRACE KIDS, Taryn’s global crusade to end the body dissatisfaction epidemic has seen her recognised by UN Women, Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls and the Geena Davis Institute. Her talk at Google HQ in Silicon Valley was live-streamed to every Google office in the world.
Taryn was a South Australian finalist in the 2019 Australian of the Year awards, and named in the Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence awards in 2018. In the same year, she received the SA Award for Excellence in Women's Leadership from Women and Leadership Australia and was crowned EY Entrepreneur of the Year, South Australia.
A two-time marathon runner, lover of life and people, and mum to four children, Taryn remains humble, proud and determined to make the biggest impact the world has ever seen on body image and self-love.
